Dental Exams
An important part of any dental visit is a dental exam. Dr. Ardoin and our caring dental hygienist will evaluate your mouth and teeth before beginning any routine or specialized treatments.
Teeth Cleaning
After a thorough evaluation and review of any medical issues, we will conduct a thorough teeth cleaning, while instructing on future preventative care for a clean and healthy mouth.
Bleaching
At C.J. Ardoin II DDS, LLC, we understand the day to day effects that cause discoloration to your teeth, especially if you’re a coffee or tea drinker. Our advanced bleaching technology ensures an effective and long-lasting treatment. We want those “pearly whites” to restore confidence in your healthy smile.
General Periodontal Maintenance
Periodontal disease is brought on by bacterial-infected gums. It can cause damage to the structures of your teeth and even lead to more severe health problems. Periodontal maintenance consists of periodical deep-cleaning appointments that help to combat the progression of the condition.
TMJ Therapy/Bruxism Treatment
TMJ is the temporomandibular joint that connects your jaw to the temporal bones of your skull. Any problems in this area will affect the way you talk and chew. Grinding or clenching your teeth, arthritis, and stress can also cause pain in the joint. After an analysis of the TMJ, Dr. Ardoin will suggest a treatment plan. This may consist of balancing the bite and sometimes further dental treatment.
Bruxism is excessive grinding or clenching of the teeth. If untreated, it can lead to fractured teeth, severe headaches, and other physical problems. Although certain exercises can alleviate the pain, we at C.J. Ardoin II DDS, LLC will give a full examination, evaluate the cause of the bruxism, and develop a treatment plan that’s right for you.
Tooth-Colored (Composte fillings) and Medicated (IRM) Fillings
Medicated fillings are exactly what they are, “medicated”. They are utilized to soothe inflamed nerves in a tooth before a regular, tooth-colored filling is placed. We make sure any decay or enamel is removed before the regular filling is placed.
Crowns
A dental crown is essentially a “cap” which is placed over the tooth to restore its shape, size, strength, and appearance. It is designed to replace any weak or broken teeth, support a large filling or dental bridge, or cover a dental implant. Usually, a tooth that has had a root canal will require a crown to maintain its stability.
Bridges
A dental bridge is used to bridge any gaps created by one or more missing teeth. A missing tooth can affect not only the appearance of your mouth and face but the distribution of force when you bite down. Bridges restore smiles, improve your ability to chew and speak, and maintain the shape of your face!
Dentures
C.J. Ardoin II DDS, LLC offers full and partial dentures. Dentures are complete replacements for missing teeth, which can be taken out and put back into the mouth. Our advanced technology ensures your dentures are custom-made for your mouth and as natural looking as possible.
Root Canals
A root canal is a necessary procedure when there’s an infection deep within the tooth, caused by an untreated cavity or trauma to a tooth. Dr. C.J. Ardoin and his staff will remove the infected pulp from inside the tooth and install a temporary filling until a permanent restoration is placed.
Repairs & Restorations
Dr. Ardoin and his staff are experienced in providing the utmost care for your teeth. When a tooth has undergone any kind of decay or damage, restorative treatments are necessary. We can repair any chips or cracks, and replace any permanently damaged teeth with several natural-looking options.
Referrals as Needed
A patient’s primary doctor is also an important part of our dental team. We consult with a patient’s PCP (primary care physician) to make sure all dental procedures and medications are safe for each individual paitent. Sometimes we offer lifestyle change advice to assist in the future health and well-being of our patients.
